This bangle is handmade by a West Indian family that have been making bangles AKA Bayra’s for 3 generations. It is adorned with our unique and distinguishable diamond pattern and topped with cocoa pods. The cocoa pod dates back to the Aztecs and flourishes on landmasses close to the equator. Cocoa was introduced into the West Indies by the Spaniards and became a major export for the region and is a legendary symbol to all West Indians.
